The Washburn chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon has been accredited as a Residential Learning Community since December of 2003.  As part of our RLC, we have 12 Faculty Fellows in numerous academic disciplines to help accomplish academic success.  Our chapter GPA is consistently above the Washburn campus average, and we have dedicated academic space in the chapter house for to study and prepare for classes.

Where others talk about the benefits of Greek life, SigEp delivers it: academic guidance, faculty and alumni interaction, personal and professional development, social events, athletics—SigEp creates a well-rounded college experience. With SigEp you will be more successful in your transition to college, more involved on campus, and better prepared for life after college.

Faculty members are a key component of the RLCs, too. They take a personal interest in your academic career, get to know you very well, and advise you individually. Studies show that by being part of a residential college, you will be more satisfied with college life, have a higher GPA and—most importantly—you are far more likely to graduate.

SigEp is the first and only educational foundation and Greek letter organization with a successful, comprehensive Residential Learning Community program, which expands on many learning communities found on some of our nation’s best campuses. SigEp offers a four-year, cross-curriculum experience culminating with a capstone senior alumni network.
